Are you an experienced Level Designer in the San Francisco area?
We’re looking for a local Senior level designer with experience, passion and talent, if that’s you all the details are right here!

The level designer will be working alongside the Creative Director in a distributed development environment with teams spread across multiple time zones. We’re looking for someone to work in close collaboration with the game designers, creative teams, programmers and production managers. Must be motivated and self-driven, and able to assist the creative Director in working with distributed design teams in the creation of unique, exciting level design layouts and functionality.
You’ll be working in close collaboration with the game designers, production team and the Creative director, so good communication and team skills are a must!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced knowledge of Unity 3D
  • Experience with Unity cinematic tools and level layout functionality
  • C# and Java scripting a plus  
  • Willingness and desire to iterate toward excellent results
  • Time management skills and the ability to meet production deadlines – Autonomy, resourcefulness organization are key
  • Positive and constructive
  • Aware of the technical limitations for current generation console development 
  • The ability to clearly communicate your ideas, both orally and in writing, learn, and improve upon your skill sets.
  • The ability to work with the Creative Director to implement instructions.

TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Minimum (three) years of relevant experience as a level designer
  • Portfolio with a minimum of (one) titles shipped as a level designer
  • Training in video game level design/creation or equivalent (technical/college/university)
  • High desire and the motivation to design fun levels and rich experiences

 

CONTRACT DETAILS:

 

  • Duration: 1year
  • Location: Emeryville, CA (Not willing to relocate)
