Abe's A Hit With Fans On Wii U

First public build of New 'n' Tasty a success.

Over the weekend, at PAX Prime in Seattle, Oddworld Inhabitants were on hand to show an eager public Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty running on Wii U. This was our first outing for the Wii U version, and we were hugely excited to hear (and see) what people thought first hand.

We started off at the secret pre-PAX Nintendo Nindies event at the EMP in Seattle on Thursday night, where Nintendo fans could sample the game for themselves, before moving to the main Nintendo section at the Sheraton Hotel for the next four days.

We were delighted to see that our hapless hero Abe still holds that magic, with lines of fans eager to play New ‘n’ Tasty on Wii U present for the duration, and interacting with those happy fans has to be the very best part of what we do!

New ‘n’ Tasty was designed to be played with a crowd – we worked hard to ensure the (frequent) mistakes and deaths were always delivered with our unique sense of humor, and when you hit a razor-sharp meat grinder with a dozen people watching, you can’t help but laugh out loud!

For PAX Prime, we released our first Wii U trailer for the game (viewable at the top of this post) and, for those looking to see how the opening areas of the game are playing, we also released this walkthrough of the Wii U version:

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will be out for Nintendo Wii U in 2015. We’ll have more news on where else it’ll be playable soon.
