Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty GDC Gameplay Trailer, New Screenshots

The moment has come! Everyone here at Oddworld is super excited to finally be able show you the first gameplay footage from Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty—the complete ground-up remake of the much loved Abe’s Oddysee—since we demoed it live way back on Sony’s stage at E3 2013.
And let me tell you, we’ve been busy little Gabbits since then. Just see for yourself!
Indeed, during that time we’ve been working incredibly hard on every aspect of New ‘n’ Tasty, making sure it plays perfectly and looks and sounds as good as we can make it. Visually, we’ve made every part of New ‘n’ Tasty from scratch – not a single part of Oddysee remains, and we’re certain fans new and old will love what we’ve done.
Hopefully you’ll agree that New ‘n’ Tasty is looking spectacular, and we can’t wait to show you more soon.
To celebrate the explosive gameplay trailer, we’re also delighted to show you these gameplay screens that show off the game’s stunning dynamic lighting and special effects, and give a few tasters as to the sheer scale and breadth of visuals we’ve managed to get into New ‘n’ Tasty.
- RuptureFarms is full of danger, but this Grinding Area is more lethal than most!
- Can Abe rescue his fellow Mudokons through RuptureFarms’ lethal Furnace area?
- Slig security goes into overdrive as Abe’s choices land him in serious hot water.
- Cranky Scrabs don’t take kindly to their personal space being invaded, as Abe attempts to navigate the Stockyards.
- Sneakily does it, as Abe attempts to lead a pack of Muds past a sleeping Slig.
- Fans will remember the swinging dangers of Paramonia, but what’s that above Abe?
- Amazing vistas await Abe on his travels through mystic temples and foreign lands.
- RuptureFarms Ball Cars are installed to carry hard-working employees like Abe to where they need to go.
There’s much, much more to come, and we’ll be talking more about the game in the following weeks. We’re committed to making New ‘n’ Tasty the game everyone wants to play, and we truly hope we’ve managed to excite you with this gameplay taster and screenshots released today.
