Good News, Europe: The Oddboxx is Coming to PS3 Tomorrow!

The Oddboxx bundle of the first four Oddworld games is coming to PlayStation 3 in Europe.

Hey there, European Inhabitants! The Oddboxx for PS3 has been approved by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE). It will be released on the PlayStation Store tomorrow. Do you know what that means? You get:

…All wrapped up in a wonderful, digital Oddboxx. And it will be your Oddboxx for £15.99/€19.99 starting tomorrow.

Hm… you might have noticed us saying “European Inhabitants”, or that the pricing is only listed in GBP and Euros, or that we’ve only mentioned SCEE and not SCEA (Sony Computer Entertainment America). We just can’t get anything past you!

The short story?

Americans, you got duped.

Want the long, boring story?

SCEA cannot release the Oddboxx because of technicalities regarding the product publisher code. While in SCEE territories, Oddworld is listed as the publisher on all four titles (so there’s no issue), but in SCEA, Oddworld is only the publishers on two of the titles. So at the moment, while we’re hoping to find a solution, we’re not able to release the Oddboxx to you lovely American folks at this time. We’ll have to see.

Back to the happy: Curious to know if SCEE reigns over your country? Check the lists below, ya chumps! There are some new additions and some that may surprise you…

SCEE Countries: Australia, Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India (new), Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kuwait, Lebanon (new), Luxembourg, Malta (new), Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman (new), Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE, UK, and Ukraine.
