The gang's gettin' back together

Ah, the good old days...

Ah, the good old days…  Scrunchies, dial-up modems, CD Walkmans. There are so many great (and not-so-great) memories from yesteryear. But one guaranteed great memory for Oddworld Inhabitants is the awesome people who’ve been part of the family.

“This could be a problem, couldn’t it..? For you-hoo.”

Just like Abe, we’ve slowly been collecting our super team. Throughout our history, we have been fortunate to work with some extremely talented people on all manner of projects and some of them wanted to work with us and Just Add Water on Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty.

Michael Bross

Michael was the music composer working with us on Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee and Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath, back when we had our studios in San Luis Obispo.

J Mauricio Hoffmann

Remember the amazing cutscenes in Munch’s Oddysee? That was Mo’s work. He also did some of the animation work for the original Stranger’s Wrath, along with some of the famous promotional videos for Munch.

Raymond Swanland

With credits ranging from Aliens vs Predator, Magic: The Gathering and, of course, Oddworld, Raymond’s work is instantly recognisable to fans of sci-fi and fantasy. Raymond is working on some of the art for New ‘n’ Tasty.

And the new…

Along with the old guard, we have found greatest new talent to work with on special projects. Jonny Eveson, a young graphic designer, has been a fan for many years, producing great fan-art, with one piece ending up as an official shirt! We’ve also got the great team taking on new talent at Just Add Water.

Does that get you even more excited for Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty? Let us know in the comments!

Please bring the whole old Munch’s team back, I just love this game very much.

Mr. Hoffmann, I love your cut scene animation in Munch, it is so matching with the game style.
And Mr. Bross, awesome music for Munch, I guess you also made the sound effect, too ?

I can’t wait to see another Munch series.

Was excited at seeing Bross announced earlier in the year, that dude’s work on SW was phenomenal and I reckon he’s more than capable of putting a respectable spin on Gabriel’s AO score.

Fantastic to see Swanland back too! Now all you need is Steve Olds and you’re suckin diesel…

If Michael Bross did the music for Munch’s Oddysee and Stranger’s Wrath then he is amazing. Great to have him back.

All I know is I’m getting New ‘n’ Tasty as soon as it comes out. This news just makes me want it more.

But what does that exactly mean?
If they are working at OI, you will not only focus on publishing anymore and go back to developing on your own, right?

But its a great news anyway!!! I love that you start growing again!

we can’t smell the locations depicted in the games [er, perhaps thankfully], so sound is the most prominent thing that helps us remember what we’ve experienced.

michael bross has been a sound design inspiration of mine for a long time. his compositions are brilliantly constructed, sounds evoke a specific region and ‘feel’ but they also have a cohesiveness that is often lacking in what is dismissively called ‘video game music’ and beyond.

very glad he’s still down with the inhabitant’s team and vice versa.
