Good news, everybody! We’re happy to be able to tell you that the update for Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD for Vita has been fixed, approved and is now available in both Europe and North America.
Download it now to get your new [working] leaderboard and save game support along with an extra tweak to the aiming system to give it more fine tuning.
Full changelog for this new patch:
- Fixed: broken support in old save games
- Previous: Leaderboard functionality
- Previous: Missing/flickering sky textures
- Previous: Alternative touch-less control mapping
- New: improved fine tuning of aiming

Great news. I’ve been waiting for this before getting the game. Too bad it didn’t work last week before Sony put a bunch of other stuff on sale, Star Wars Pinball came out, and Etrian Odyessy 4 arrived on 3DS. For two weeks there was nothing I had to play no I’m inundated with great stuff. So it looks like it’ll still be awhile until I get to Oddworld.
MLB 2012 on Vita for $8, SW Pinball, and EO 4 here I come!

Only gripe I would have would be the forced use of touch controls, I’d love to be able to disable the back touch pad and use dpad down to change views. Maybe double tap for reload?
The old patch that was pulled had the ability to disable rear touch. Was that removed from this new patch?

Im at new yolk city port authority. There is no one (chicken) there behind the counter to open the gate even though i have the pass and bounty mission ready. Is there a bug on the vita version? I keep quitting and restarting but keep finding the same problem. I am totally stuck in the town. Can you help?

Have you got an earlier save you can reload? Maybe the last checkpoint?
No. I quit and restart from last checkpoint where i jump down into town but same thing happens each time. Dont have any other save points. Perhaps a bug then and will have to restart? Shame as was really into the game.
