The long wait is over! After a month of closed beta testing, Stranger’s Wrath HD for PC is out! The re-released game is available for download on Steam for PC costing $9.99 / €8.99 / £7.99. To celebrate, You can buy the game on Steam for 30% off.
Existing owners of the game will be able to download the update for free from their chosen online store soon.
Stuff that’s new in the update:
- Added 12 brand new Steam achievements.
- Concept art and movie extras for completing each region of the game.
- Support for new languages added.
- Improved controls especially for PC.
- All 84 character models have been updated with increased polygon counts and higher resolution textures.
- Added difficulty levels to the game.
- All environments have been given higher resolution textures.
- Added Easter eggs to the game.
- French and German audio has been added.
- Full text translations for French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Currently updating via steam, but it seems like there might not be an option for those who wish to play the game retro style.
Fortunately, that’s nothing a few seconds of copying / compressing files can’t cure.

This is worth the wait. I bought this game on Steam over a year ago but like many others I could never play it because it had too many bugs. This update seems to fix the bugs. Fantastic!
So this will definitely be available at places besides Steam? Because I bought The Oddboxx at GamersGate and I don’t want to miss out on these enhancements.

Now? No other place comes up when I search for it, and I only see the standard version of the game offered by other sites. Unless I’m missing something, the HD update seems like it’s Steam exclusive.
We’re waiting for the final patch to be released before putting the HD version on the other sites.
Okay, great. I don’t mind waiting a little longer. I’m just glad to hear it’s coming. And in the meantime I can still enjoy the standard version.
