Next week sees the long-awaited patch to Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD go live on PSN. The first time you run the game after the patch launches, you’ll automatically download and be able to enjoy all the latest features and fixes, including:
3DTV support
Scour the wilds, ruins and hideouts for scumbag Outlaws with the latest stereoscopic broadcasts from the Mongo River. Oddworld has never had so much D!
PlayStation Move support
Immerse yourself in the action by pointing and firing from your very own crossbow. (Note: Your PlayStation Move controller is unlikely to resemble a crossbow.)
Video recording and uploading
Record your victories, failures and candid moments straight to your PlayStation 3, and upload them directly to your YouTube account.
Brightness & Gamma controls
No need to visit Doc for a new pair of eye-spectacles, now you can change the visibility of the very world around you with our brand new sliders.
Audio fixes
Tired of lazy Townsfolk cutting themselves off mid-sentence? Fed up with soft-spoken Live Ammo? Is the soundtrack to your adventure jolted, often absent? Never fear! Our audio fixes fix your audio!
Increased crosshair visibility
9 out of 10 bounty hunters say they prefer our newer, opaquer crosshair. “It’s so much easier to see!” said excited Corn Jaws of New Yolk City.
Fixed Quicksaves and Autosaves
Before, you could only load full saves from the Load Game screen. But now you can revert back to your most recent AutoSave and QuickSave for added convenience.
Extra subtitles
The accessibility of Western Mudos has taken a step up with the introduction of additional gameplay-relevant subtitling in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish.
Performance Improvements
Ask at your local General Store or Black Market for all available improvements to your experience of life.
The patch launches at the very start of 27th June in the UK (1 am for most of Europe, 7 pm on the 26th Eastern Daylight Time, 4 pm on the 26th Pacific Daylight Time). In the meantime, enjoy the patch’s official trailer, now available to download from the PlayStation Store.

Ok this is great, but i want this game for the XBOX 360!!!!!! when are you going to publish it !!!!!
The boat has really passed on Microsoft publishing it. We’re talking to third party publishers about publishing Stranger’s Wrath HD on Xbox 360.
Winding up? That’s great, does that mean the PC update is gonna come out? Been waiting 6 months for HD Stranger.
It’s not far off. More details next week!
So…. im not going to have this game never for Xbox? wowowow…. let’s talk winth Microsoft now !!!!
I WANT IT SO MUCH !!!!!
i want it on xbox 360 too
I already bought it for the PC as there was a great offer on Steam
But I really look forward to the Xbox 360 version with Xbox Achievements and Controller. What is the hold from Microsoft? Is it still the limitation of 2GB XBLA Games? Is there a Petition we could sign on to be heard from Microsoft? Or it would be maybe better to provide all Abe Games in one Package (with lots of Extras) without the use of XBLA, I think that would be the coolest if possible.
Also on many German Websites they really await the Release for Xbox and this News just put Abe up again (even if it’s no good news as of yet)
Microsoft won’t publish the game for us, for a whole slew of reasons, but we’re talking to other companies about publishing on Xbox 360 on our behalf. We await good news, too!
So not fair. This series was the VERY reason I purchased the XBOX, because I believe it was an exclusive deal at that time. Fortunately, this led to Halo, but I was very happy to have these games for the Xbox.
Now, all these years later after a long hiatus in the middle, I can’t revisit these on the 360. Hate you, Microsoft.
Sweet. I love Oddworld, I have some great memories from the Abe games with a buddy of mine on PS1 going back and forth trying to clear levels and dying millions of times. I’ve never before and since enjoyed dying in a game as much as that. Munch I never played till the Oddbox and have been waiting to really dig into it with the HD update. Stranger I cleared and loved, can’t wait to see the new visuals. You guys rock for reviving a much loved, and missed there for a while, IP such as Oddworld.
Any news on the Vita release date?
Not yet.
Thanks for replying
Thought the PS3 version was great, Sadly missed out on the original release (Only owned a PS2).
So thank you for bringing it to PS3 =)
MANY THANKS for the extra subtitles!!

Thanks for the hard work on this series! I am so happy that it’s not defunct or neglected! Any new titles in the works?
I hope to get the Oddboxx on the Playstation Network as soon as I can!
We’re working on Abe’s Oddysee HD. Not a patch of the original game, a full-on remake with a new engine that could potentially power brand new stories.
