Our friends at GameCity have masterminded a plan to have the game demonstrable and playable to the general public at next week’s GameCity6, which takes place in Nottingham city center on 26–29 October 2011. On Thursday evening Stewart Gilray will be talking to the assembled crowds about the game’s development at ‘Oddworld Oddysee’, then throughout Friday you’ll be able to find it in the Old Market Square. The GameCity6 crew have put out the following on their blog:

We had such fun at the last Oddworld event at GameCityNights a few months back, we just had to have another event devoted to one of our favourite series. Get hands-on with Stranger’s Wrath HD for the very first time at GameCity6 and hear from Just Add Water’s CEO, Stewart Gilray.

A late night exploration into updating Stranger’s Wrath HD, fans will hear from keeper of the torch Gilray about updating this most hallowed series and the latest title to receive a shiny makeover. Oddworld Oddyssey will start at 10pm in Antenna, NG1 1EQ, on Thursday 27. Attendees will get the chance to play Stranger’s Wrath before anyone else and quiz the man behind the revival.

Oddworld Oddyssey is free to attend.

For those of you who aren’t night owls…..or night Sligs or night Mudokons…..Just Add Water will be in the festival base on Old Market Square from 10am – 5pm on Friday 28 so you can play Stranger’s Wrath HD before its release.
